‘The star’ कविता के पहले stanza की तुलना दिये गये stanza से करते हैं तो हम देखते हैं कि पाठ की कविता ‘The star’ के stanza के कुछ शब्द हटाकर नये शब्द प्रयोग हुए हैं। जैसे star के स्थान पर bat, diamond के स्थान पर teatray प्रयोग हुए हैं। चूँकि bat-चमगादड़ तारे जैसी चमकती नहीं है-यह stanza अर्थहीन हैं।
