Ans. It resulted in displeasing him. On every Sunday, her grandmother sent her to drawing-room to have nice talk with father and mother but her presence always irritated the father. He used to call her little brown owl.

One day her grandmother told her about father’s birthday and suggested her to make a pin cushion as a gift for father’s. She made it but for filling it, she tore her father’s important papers. Unfortunately her efforts to please her father went in vain. Her father scolded her and punished her by beating her palms with a ruler.

She calls for her grandmother but to her surprise, she finds her father standing near her bed. He takes her to his arms and makes her sleep next to him. She holds her father tightly and snuggled her head under his arms. He makes her feel comfortable. This makes her understand that her father has to work hard daily and this leaves him too tired to be like Mr. Macdonald. She tells her father that she has a big heart.

I feel all the children have, the same type of childhood as Kezia had. When children are small, parents tend to be little strict to teach them general behaviour, etiquettes etc. When we become young, parents become a little friendly and they discuss things with us. by this time children come to know the reality of life.

They understand their parents well. Children like to share their problems and their desires with their parents. They want to take their advice ………….
